Samples of Slim+

Hi everyone!  I realize it's been a minute so I thought I'd stop by :)

Last week we dropped the kids off with my parents for their 2 week summer vacation and then we jumped on a plane and headed out to Sacramento.

Sacramento was just a brief stop as we grabbed a rental car and headed for Oakhurt, Cali and Yosemite National Park.

So, when we booked everything the park and surrounding area wasn't on fire yet but we kept a close eye on things leading up to our trip and during our stay.

Yosemite is one of the best places we've ever vacationed and while I wish we could have stayed longer - we only booked three days - it was a good thing we didn't because the fire was getting close and they were closing the main road and evacuating the park.....

We stayed at a hotel on the main drag in Oakhurst and the staff was phenomenal!  They had recommendations ready for the local restaurants and even gave some great tips for Yosemite.

While in Yosemite we managed to see several sights and I can't wait to go back.  Hubby had been before several years ago and hasn't stopped talking about it since then.

I'll have more on our trip along with pictures later but I gotta say, travelling is a great way to meet people and talk about your passions.

Thanks to our little trip, I've been able to send out some samples of Slim+ and even give some samples of Hydrate out to those that were in need of something to drink that wasn't full of sugar and artificial color and flavors.  Win - Win!!

Business Trip

So, I have a business trip coming up in exactly one month.   I will be spending almost a week in beautiful Panama for the conference. Finished Chalkboard

So I am delayed in getting this posted but the chalkboard was a huge success and the kids were thrilled!  They have played on it a lot and have even invited their friends over to color on the chalkboard with them. So after I applied the layers of chalkboard paint and let them dry, I took a piece of chalk and laid it on its side and "colored" the chalkboard with it.  You are doing this according to the directions to help prime the surface for use. After you color it and let it chill, you then take a damp rag and wipe it off.  Sounds easy enough, right?  Well, it is!  I was nervous about  it not working because I may have some how missed a step along the way...I even googled the directions just in case!! I also added a really cute and perfectly, imperfect burlap boarder to the chalkboard.  I had initially planned out creating a wood boarder for it and painting it to match the colors from the playroom pillows but ultimately decided against it...

New House!

So the husband and I are in the middle of purchasing our 3rd house!!  We are very excited and are now just waiting for Friday so that we can close and get the keys. With the waiting game in full swing my mind is drifting to how we are going to furnish and style the house.  With three young kids (ages 5, 3, and 1) I need and want things that are resilient, easily washable yet beautiful and timeless. We purchased new furniture and curtains this summer when we moved into our apartment.  We only brought our bed and a couple of dressers from our previous house (lucky tenants didn't have to furnish much when they moved in).  The furniture is similar in color to the curtains but is not carried by Ashley Furniture anymore, although they do have some great options. For the game room upstairs that the kids will use all the time, I'm looking at Ikea for a great couch that is also a pull out bed for when we have guests over.   Sleeper with storage St...
